Chloe told me the Scientists are coming to her classroom. She kind of said it like it was an alien invasion and we had a short period of time before we would be forced to evacuate.
Scientists in the School is a program for our students, introducing them to all kinds of interesting things and it requires parent volunteers in order to help the stations run smoothly.
She said, “But I do NOT want you to volunteer. I don’t like it when you come to my classroom.”
I was careful to remove the knife from my heart which was no easy task because I was driving and I really had to fish around the seat belt.
She explained that she didn’t want me to come because she was mad at me for not giving her a cupcake.
Does she think I keep them in the glove box? Tough crowd.
Hanna, my 11 year old was quick to come to my rescue.
She said, “Chloe, be nice to Mom. I always say I want her to come to my class when we need volunteers even though I really don’t want her to be there. I just do it because it’s good for her to get out of the house.”
Thanks Hanna.
You’re welcome Mom.
