I just surfed around the internet for cheap bedding some inspiration and something to write about.

I saw the words, “Are you taking the time to appreciate the valuable moments that define your life?” and something occurred to me.

My kids are in the family room on blow up mattresses, wrapped in blankets, propped up on pillows, popcorn in one hand, water in the other (pop is strictly forbidden on blow-up beds, in the family room and well, anywhere in the house).

They are watching Mr. Popper’s Penguins, the fireplace is set to low with a glowing, orange flame reflecting off of their sparkling, overtired eyes.

I hear giggling, chewing, “Dad, how do they get the penguins to do that?” at least a dozen times so far.

I do appreciate the valuable moments that define my life.

I think I’ll go and do it in the same room.
