All day Chloe has been asking us to play various police games. In them, she is the Sheriff and she assigns someone to play her sidekick or “nephew” as she refers to them.

I have gently suggested maybe she means her “deputy” but she insists she is the Sheriff and the role of the sidekick in this scenario is played by the nephew. She went so far as to introduce Greg as her nephew, Owen to prove she knew what she was talking about.

Then she asked me if I could make her a snack. She wanted some crackers and that yummy green dip I make with avocado and she wanted her very own bowl.

“Mommy, can you make me some guacamole-skin?”

Coming right up. A bowl for you and one for your nephew.
