I asked Chloe, “Who did you play with at school today?”

I asked her that because when I ask her, “What did you do at school today?” she responds with one of the following two answers, 1) Nothing, 2) Do you mean, who did I play with at school today?

So I asked her who she played with to keep the questions to a minimum, acting as my own google, “Did you mean…?” search and rescue team.

Chloe: Oh, I played with my friends and Carly.

Me: I haven’t heard about a Carly in your class.

Chloe: Yeah, she’s the red one with some white fur.
