Chloe has been asking when school is starting.

Not in a nervous or anxious way, she is itching to get back to that place.

“Mommy, it’s been so long, I even forget how big the school is! Like I don’t even remember the size.”

I told her she would jump right back into her school day routine like a champ and then informed her of some very exciting news.

“Chloe, do you remember when you started JK and how you had two special helpers in your class who gave you a tour and showed you where your shoes went and where the art supplies were?”

Her eyes widened.

“You are going to get to do that for a new little boy or girl who will start in your class in September.”

She gulped back an excited breath.
“You are going to get to be the helper! Isn’t that exciting?”

Chloe could not hide her enormous smile.

“Wait Mommy, this is all happening so fast.”

It sure is.
