Web-Errors….

I am someone who secretly loves finding errors and typos in magazines, books and on websites.

I’m not suggesting my posts are error-free, in fact, they are riddled with mistakes. You just never know if I’ve put them in on purpose to see if you’re paying attention or not.

The other day, we decided after a silent, family vote, by ballot, we should research the idea of sourcing some outdoor curtains for the patio.

Like most family votes, I introduced the idea, seconded the motion after raising my four year old’s hand on her behalf while she thought she was on the receiving end of a high five and off we were reviewing fabric samples.

When I googled, “Outdoor fabric” I was immediately linked to Walmart’s website and on the first (and only) page I looked at, three things jumped out at me.

Here is the link http://www.walmart.com/c/kp/outdoor-curtains

Under “Related Products” the first is the misspelling of the word “grommet” spelled here “gronmet.”

Then two pictures to the right, the “Orange Curtains” are not orange at all (at least not on my screen).

Finally, the “Long Curtain Panels” on the far right are the shortest on the page.

I think this is a good time to take a step back and recognize we’re not perfect. We all make mistakes. Even enormous companies like Walmart let things slip through the cracks sometimes.

I’m just hoping in this case, my curtains don’t let anything slip through the cracks because that’s really the only reason we’re getting them.
