I mentioned the Scrabble revival that has taken over our ipads but things are starting to get even better.

I can’t throw a wooden letter without hitting any number of Scrabble games happening in our family room and it’s really quite fun (if you’re sober and without running water or electricity).

And Scrabble is a wonderful teaching tool for kids when it comes to spelling and reading and puzzling and finding solutions.

I know each and every one of our family members has benefited from playing the game.

Last night for example, my nine year old said to me in frustration as she stared at her letters, “Oh man! I wish I had an ‘i’!”

“Why Ellie, what word would you have?”

“I would have had ‘FRIG’.”
