Mad Libs….

You can learn a lot about a person during a harmless game of Mad-Libs.

Last night instead of bedtime reading, Ellie wanted to do a page out of one of her many Mad-Libs books. I was really feeling on my game with so many Scrabble games (against my ipad—I’m not proud of myself) lately.

The truth is I was really itching to use the word “QAT” in a mixed up sentence involving; farts, cheerleading (Ellie’s contributions) and watch the hilarity ensue.

Occasionally, she will ask, “Mom, what’s an adverb again?” I love that she has no idea she’s getting a grammar lesson while also discovering the various tenses of the invented word fartbagger.

She looked a little confused and asked, “Mom, what’s a friggin country?”

Um, what? Or should I say ‘Um, QAT?’

“What’s a ‘foriggin’ country? Foriggin, friggin?”

Oh God, is this the X-rated version of Mad Libs? Where did she find this?

Pass me the book, Ellie. Does it say anything about bodily fluids or risqué sexual positions?

Another English lesson—the silent “G”

The word is foreign.

And it’s worth a qat-load of points in Scrabble.
