Sometimes my kids ask for crazy things like a ride to school when they’ve missed the bus or a special treat for “last snack” in their lunch or a fork with their dinner.

Last night, I was asked, “Mom, could you get me a new cup with water in it for my nightstand? This one’s been here since March.”

That seemed like a fair ask.
