My two year old asked me, “Mommy, is ‘weird’ a bad word?”

Me: No, it’s not a bad word.

Chloe: Mommy, you’re weird.

Me: Well, that’s not a very nice thing to say. You could say, “Hmm, that’s weird!” If you saw something strange but it’s not nice to call someone ‘weird.’”

Chloe: Hmmm, that’s weird, Dork.
