Last night when I was tucking the girls into bed, I wanted to tell them how special they were and that they had a big day today so my wish for them was to have sweet dreams and positive thoughts all night.

I looked into Ellie’s eyes and told her, “Ellie, you are a star.  I know I always tell you what a delightful kid you are but tonight I want you to think about all of the things that make you so special; your smile, your great outlook on life, your positive attitude, your glow that makes everyone around you stop and feel happy for no reason at all.”

She hugged me and said, “Mommy, your breath smells. It’s so bad. It smells like asparagus in a garbage.”
